The worker pays another 6% at the time of withdrawal. That's an effective fee of just over 13%.

According to the Mturk pricing page, requesters will pay a commission of 45% on top of what is paid to the worker for Master's tasks with 10 or more assignments. Compare that a the 7% out-of-pocket fee for the requester if Microworkers is suitable for the task. The fee is 40% for non-masters tasks with 10 or more assignments. Mturk's lowest price is still the highest of any site of its kind: 20% commission for tasks with fewer than 10 assignments.
